We invite applications for a non‑tenure track instructor, one‑year appointment, specializing in digital advertising and strategic communication. Successful candidates should have strong training and experience in the advertising industry with the latest technologies at top agencies and industry contacts in the Chicago area. Recent industry experience should include social, digital and influencer campaign research, strategy, planning and management, analytics and AI.
The new faculty member will teach courses in the latest technological advances in advertising and strategic communication such as Analytics, Insights & Strategy, Social Media Campaigns, Creating ADPR Content with AI, and Influencers & Social Economy, as well as foundational courses like Principles of Advertising and Foundational ADPR Research Methods. The candidate should also have an outstanding record of university‑level teaching, be interested in pursuing research, and be familiar with using advertising and strategic communication for social change and social justice.
- Master’s degree in a related field (by August 24, 2026)
- Professional experience in digital advertising, strategic communication, digital media, and data
- Industry experience with current advertising technologies and agencies
- University‑level teaching experience
