Job Title
Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Loyola University Chicago seeks an individual to conduct and publish research on entrepreneurship, especially social entrepreneurship, while teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, and serving on academic committees.
Responsibilities- Conduct, plan, and ensure IRB‑compliant research on social entrepreneurship.
- Submit and present research at conferences and in peer‑reviewed journals; serve as a reviewer for scholarly journals.
- Teach courses in management, entrepreneurship, and social entrepreneurship; prepare syllabi, deliver lectures, grade work, and advise students.
- Participate in departmental and school committees, faculty recruitment, curriculum review, and policy development.
- Engage in outreach and service activities aligned with the university’s mission.
- Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in research on social entrepreneurship, marginalization, poverty, and displacement, with a Global South perspective.
- Strong teaching record in management and entrepreneurship with a focus on social justice.
- Experience supporting curriculum in social venture creation and inclusive entrepreneurship.
- Experience in experiential, venture‑based learning and applied exercises that address social challenges.
Full‑time appointment with a salary range of $44,000–$167,000 per year (9‑month academic). Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, wellness programs, and tuition benefits.
