Through these programs, we empower the people we work alongside to build powerful communities.the roles and responsibilities of the floater teacher will promote early education to our most needed communities.the floater teacher is responsible for partnering with the classroom team to provide developmentally and culturally appropriate lesson plans for the classroom in the absence of one of the regular classroom teachersas part of the classroom team, the floater teacher works with the team to effectively manage the classroom environmentpromotes recognition, acceptance, and positive interactions among children, families, and staff in the classroomfacilitates lesson plans in cooperation with the classroom teamthe full-time floater teacher will be a position in partnership with early childhood education directly impacting the west town  return to your commitment to erie house and its mission to the community, you will enjoy excellent professional development opportunities, opportunities for growth, and have a direct impact in building powerful communities.

Be a part of one of the oldest and most respected settlement house in the chicago land area.position responsibilities:assist classroom staff in implementing of developmentally and culturally appropriate activities according to classroom lesson plans for small and large groups of childrenmonitor overall health and safety of children in the classroom, reporting any signs of illness, injury or abuse to the classroom teachermonitor children in the classroom at all times using active supervisionmaintain current illinois gateways registry membershipmaintain five hours of gateways approved trainings per program yearparticipate in 20 hours of professional development per program yearattend monthly all staff meetings, agency meetings and in-service trainings as required other duties as assigned salary compensation range: $37,200-$40,200 plus excellent benefit package.no
