Responsibilities
- Teach adult and teen‑focused classroom courses about safe driving.
- Conduct classes on weekends, weekdays, and evenings; each session lasts 4 to 8 hours.
- Deliver the Driver Safety Course curriculum to motorists, including those required to attend mandatory retraining.
- Use curriculum materials provided by NSC; full instructor certification training is supplied.
- Choose personal schedule and teach as much or as little as desired.
- Experience in public speaking and leading effective classroom discussions with diverse groups.
- Background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education.
- Ability to handle unexpected difficulties such as equipment failures, facility issues, learners with learning or behavioral difficulties, or class disruptions.
- Bilingual in English, Spanish, or Portuguese (plus).
- Weekend availability preferred.
- Pay rate starts at $35 per hour.
- Weekend availability preferred; choose own schedule.
Chicago, IL (preferred).
