This is a twelve-month, full-time non-tenure-track faculty position that will be the Director and faculty member of a new Health Sciences academic program within National Louis University. The Director and Open Rank Professor of Health Sciences will be responsible for overall leadership in the implementation and management of the new program. The successful candidate will provide academic and administrative leadership, work extensively with external partners, lead course development and maintenance, hire and supervise faculty, provide oversight to practicum experience, and work across NLU departments to build the program, including enrollment, admissions, graduate programs, advising/coaching, career bridge, and student finance.

In each term, you will facilitate blended and online classes that utilize technology and data to drive instruction. You will work with a dedicated team of faculty, success coaches/advisors, career advisors, employer relations managers, and data analysts to determine how to personalize the learning experience for your students. In addition to teaching content, you will support students with meeting the goals that they have for themselves and celebrate the lived experiences they bring to the classroom.

- Vision: Set vision and provide oversight of Academic Programming in undergraduate Health Sciences department ure continuity across coursework, exceptional curriculum quality, and maintain fair, equitable high expectations.
- Curriculum Oversight: Serve as SME and/or provide oversight to the development of new courses and revisions in the discipline in accordance with industry standards. Maintain current expertise.
- Leadership of Day‑to‑Day Curriculum Implementation, Instructional Planning and Department Team Planning: Lead weekly or bi‑weekly department team meetings to develop an effective student experience, reviewing curriculum implementation, instructional planning and student data to inform ongoing improvement. Maintain lab equipment and facilities as needed.
- Data‑Driven Course and Major Planning: Review course/major data quarterly and annually to inform future course and major enhancements and explore opportunities for additions.
- Scheduling: Use an efficient scheduling model to ensure students have sufficient options, appropriate class sizes, and flexibility.
- Hiring: Collaborate with Human Resources to create and maintain a hiring network, review candidates, perform initial interviews, and make hire recommendations.
- Staffing: Choose/select instructors to staff all courses; contracting handled by NLU administration.
- Ongoing Performance Management: Supervise and meet with faculty regularly to ensure progress; conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback; coach faculty; conduct annual performance reviews.
- Leadership in Professional Development to Drive Teaching Excellence: Collaborate with UGC administration and faculty to ensure a comprehensive PD approach; create and attend PD programs; support onboarding and ongoing development.
- Oversee Annual Program Review and Assessment Plan: Lead creation and implementation for Health Sciences to meet key performance indicators.
- Support Resolution of Student Issues: Lead resolution of academic appeals and readmissions.
