The College of Sciences, Health & Pharmacy at Roosevelt University invites applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor, Health Sciences, beginning August 15, 2026. This is a full‑time, 9‑month position.
Position SummaryThe successful candidate will teach eight courses per academic year and will be responsible for core courses within the Health Sciences program at the undergraduate level. Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, support a diverse working environment, use technology effectively, and be committed to advancing social justice.
Roosevelt University is a private, non‑sectarian university with 4,400 students, founded on principles of access and social justice. It is the fourth most ethnically diverse college in the Midwest, preparing students to assume leadership roles in their professions and communities.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide instruction to undergraduate students
- Teach in multiple modalities: in‑person, hybrid, and online asynchronous
- Use online teaching technologies such as Blackboard Ultra and Zoom
- Advise Health Science students
- Collaborate with community partners
- Contribute to curriculum development and accreditation data collection/documentation
- Engage in department, college, and university service activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a field related to Health Sciences
- One year of college teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a field related to Health Sciences
- Five years of college teaching experience
Salary range: $65,000 – $70,000
