School Psychologist (Assessment Only) – Chicago, IL

2026–2027 School Year | Full-Time | Weekly Pay + Year-Round Benefits

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in Chicago, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year
. This is an assessment-only position
, making it an excellent opportunity for psychologists who enjoy psycho educational evaluations and multidisciplinary collaboration without counseling responsibilities.

In this role, you'll support 2–3 assigned schools
, conducting comprehensive evaluations that help students access the educational services they need while partnering with educators and special education teams.

  • Location: Chicago, IL
  • Assignment Dates: August 5, 2026 – June 9, 2027
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM 30-minute unpaid lunch (36.25 hours per week)
  • Position Type: Assessment Only (No Counseling)
Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho educational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and educational assessments.
  • Participate in eligibility and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
  • Support data‑driven decision making to promote student success.
Qualifications
  • Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required.
  • Experience conducting psycho educational evaluations in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong report writing, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, evaluation procedures, and special education compliance.
  • Competitive weekly pay 55-65+/hr
