Instructor of Voice and Speech
Roosevelt University, a private, nonsectarian community of educators, scholars and learners, invites you to contribute to its mission of academic, creative and service excellence. The Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA), home to three Conservatories—Music, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Theatre—seeks an adjunct instructor to teach first‑year Voice and Speech I, a required course for BFA Acting, Musical Theatre, and Musical Theatre Dance majors.
ResponsibilitiesTeach Voice and Speech I in the Fall semester, developing students’ vocal technique, stage presence, and communication skills; develop and assess coursework, including solo pieces and vocal compositional work; collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate voice training into the broader conservatory curriculum.
Qualifications- Minimum 1–2 years of university‑level teaching experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MFA in Acting, Theatre performance or related professional experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of professional voice‑development techniques such as Linklater, Rodenburg, and Knight‑Thompson.
Remuneration is based on student enrollment and course hours, prorated according to credit weight.

Studio sound system, basic office/classroom equipment and Smart‑classroom technology (computer, monitor, projector, audio). - Working conditions:
Normal climate‑controlled office environment; occasional lifting (≤15 lb).
