• Francis W. Parker (330 W Webster Ave, Chicago, IL 60614)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Each TA will support 5 sections of students each day for 60 minutes each (there is a 5-minute movement/transition break between periods).
• In addition to assisting the teacher and students in the classroom, TAs will supervise breakfast and lunch. Lunch will be split into two sections depending on the cohort. As one cohort is eating lunch, the other cohort will attend gym for a movement period. Cohorts then switch halfway. TAs are expected to assist with arrival and dismissal procedures as outlined at their specific campus and take attendance during each class.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be an alumni of High Jump
• Must be 16 years of age
• Strong commitment to working with middle school students
• A willingness to learn, collaborate, and accept feedback
• Ability to take on responsibilities such as assisting with small group lessons, arrival/dismissal, and supervision of students
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport with middle and high school age students, and attend all sessions
