Legacy Charter School is seeking a passionate and student-centered Classroom Teacher for the  school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to providing scholars with rigorous academic experiences that prepare them for success with grade-level and above-grade-level content through consistent, joyful, social-emotional, and cognitive learning experiences. Legacy Charter School is a high-performing public charter school serving approximately 500 scholars in Pre-K through 8th grade in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood.

The Classroom Teacher provides scholars with high-quality, standards-based instruction rooted in engaging, culturally relevant, and data-informed pedagogy. Teachers create strong classroom communities, build meaningful relationships with scholars and families, and focus deeply on academic growth and scholar success. This role is ideal for an educator who is skilled in lesson planning, classroom culture, data-informed instruction, and relationship-building with scholars, families, and colleagues.

As a Classroom Teacher, you will:
