Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Department of Biology, including but not limited to Environmental Science, Cell Biology, Medical Terminology, Genetics, and others.
- Utilize the NP syllabus template, approved textbooks, and course materials.
- Submit personalized course syllabus electronically one week prior to course start date.
- Adhere to printed course schedule meeting times and locations.
- Be available to students outside of class by email and appointment as needed.
- Grade assessments promptly and submit mid‑term and final grades on time.
- Document the last date students participated in an academic activity as required for federal regulations.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Possess a clear understanding of North Park University’s mission of Christian higher education.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Terminal degree in a related field.
- Experience using Canvas or comparable learning management system (LMS).
- Experience teaching at a university level.
- Familiarity with online instruction.
