Target hiring range for this position will be between $63,080- $80,978 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Director of International Programs. This includes administering the study abroad and exchange programs, CPT and OPT processes and counseling students regarding visa issues in coordination with the International Office, implementing international student integration strategies and general planning, coordination, project management, external networking and administrative support as outlined in the duties described below.

Specific Responsibilities Administer the study abroad and dual degree programs
  • Review study abroad applications, interview candidates, and make recommendation for final selection.
  • Counsel students on study abroad and dual degree, pre-approve academic plan and course selection.
  • Organize pre-departure orientation for students leaving on study abroad.
  • Ensure compliance with ABA requirements of study abroad.
  • Monitor performance and provide support to students on study abroad including communication, course selection, and reports.
  • Liaise with the Registration and Records office on transfer of credits earned abroad.
  • Maintain relationship and liaise with partner school's staff to facilitate and troubleshoot student studies in respective institutions.
Administer the Student Exchange program
  • Review applications from partner schools and make admission decisions.
  • Communicate with incoming students and partner institution.
  • Organize orientation program for incoming exchange students in spring semester.
  • Provide registration information and pre-approve course selection of incoming students.
  • Work with partner schools on issues arising out of the exchange.
  • Monitor exchange balances and make recommendations.
  • Registration and Records.
  • Support CPT course teaching and administration.
Implement JD-LLM integration strategies and related programming
  • Lead the Global Partners program including student recruiting, programming, and execution of yearlong activity plans.
  • Organize the Global Conversations events including recruiting facilitators, coordination with faculty, selection of discussion topics, and event support.
  • Liaise with student organizations for collaboration and inclusion of LLM students in the life of the law school, facilitate periodic discussions and monitor LLM participation in student organizations.
  • Support organization of Global Village and facilitate student organization involvement and contribution.
Chair the LLM Student Committee
  • Recruit and select committee members, explain goals and impact.
  • Hold bi-weekly meetings and facilitate decision making on scope, number, type of events and logistics.
  • Oversee execution of plans and ideas by the Committee, provide guidance and support.
  • Monitor LLM Committee budget allocation.
Coordinate pre-arrival communication with incoming students
  • Prepare a yearly communication matrix in coordination with Admission, Career Strategy, Registration and Records, and other departments as needed.
  • Create pre-arrival information content and distribute on the web, via e-mail and through Canvas.
  • Field questions from incoming students.
Organize Orientation programs for the LLM program
  • Coordinate and support Assistant Director of International Student Services in organizing International Student orientation and LEAF orientation.
Administer OPT, CPT and provide other visa related support to international students across all degree programs
  • Liaise with the International Office on visa and immigration matters, including scheduling presentations and workshops.
  • Approve OPT requests and field questions from students about OPT applications.
  • Approve CPT requests and ensure compliance with immigration requirements and International Office guidelines. Field questions about the CPT approval process.
  • Coordinate enrollment of students in the appropriate CPT-related course with the Office
