Role Description

The Center Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role at our Streeterville, IL location, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center and ensuring high-quality early childhood education and care. This role includes leading and mentoring teaching and support staff, managing schedules, enrollment, and family communications, and maintaining compliance with licensing, safety, and accreditation standards. The Center Director collaborates with families to address needs and concerns, supports curriculum implementation, and promotes an engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

The role also involves managing budgets, monitoring key performance metrics, driving center enrollment growth, and partnering with regional leadership on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Leadership and management skills, including team supervision, staff coaching, and performance management.
  • Operational and organizational skills, such as center administration, scheduling, budgeting, and process oversight.
  • Family and community engagement skills, including clear communication, relationship-building, and customer service.
  • Educational program skills, including knowledge of early childhood education practices, curriculum support, and classroom quality standards.
  • Compliance and safety skills, including familiarity with licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Relevant experience in early childhood education, childcare administration, or a related field, with prior center or school leadership strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience, as permitted by local regulations).
  • Ability to work on-site in Streeterville, IL, manage multiple priorities, use basic computer applications, and maintain a professional, inclusive, and child-centered approach.
