Position SummaryRevolution Workshop is looking for an individual who is interested in assisting individuals through their construction pre-apprenticeship experience. This includes case management activities, coaching, accountability, goal planning, and barrier removal. The Case Manger also runs logistics for much of the day-to-day activities during active training. This position is full-time and year-round. The training at Revolution Workshop is completed through a trauma-informed lens and coaching to help the trainees successfully complete the program and be placed into long-term employment.

This position reports directly to the Program Manager.
HoursTuesday to Thursday 12pm-8:30pm
Friday and Saturday 8am-4pm
Roles And Responsibilities- Maintaining individual case management and supportive services for participants in the program, including but not limited to updates of case notes on participants within the program’s database such as attendance, career interests, job positions applied to, and barriers to employment.
- Lead in the support services both internal and external for each participant based on individual need which include but not limited to: transportation assistance, child care, financial issues, housing.
- Prepare applications and other key documents for the program such as handbooks and necessary grant documents.
- Teach life skills/executive functioning as well as financial 101 classes to each cohort covering topics including but not limited to conflict resolution, communication, workplace professionalism, email etiquette etc.
- Build authentic relationships with trainees through the sharing of lived experience and adoption of Revolution Workshop’s coaching approach.
- Hold trainees accountable to the attendance, communication, teamwork and pace of the construction industry.
- Responsible for collecting grant required data and documentation including all eligibility documentation, attendance records, supply sign-outs, and individualized training plans.
- Prepare applications and other key documents for the program.
- Assist in the screening and selecting of all participants for Revolution Workshop programs through interviews of potential candidates.
- Lead weekly meetings to keep all key Program staff informed of trainee progress and concerns.
- Collect feedback from trainees to continue to improve program outcomes and experiences.
- Assist with the planning, development of Revolution Workshop programs.

- This position is performed in a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- Bachelor’s degree encouraged but not required
- At least one years’ experience working with diverse groups.
- Knowledge and experience working with underserved individuals through approaches that emphasize resiliency, strength based coaching, and trauma informed care.
- Have an understanding of the social service resources available to underserved individuals throughout Chicago and the surrounding area.
- Excellent computer skills – Google G Suite (google docs, sheets, forms, gmail etc.), Microsoft Office, excel, ability to learn new systems and databases.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Takes initiative, able to anticipate program needs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Recognize and respond to emerging priorities, allowing for flexibility in your schedule.
- Valid driver’s license to transport trainees to support services, as needed
- Evenings and weekends times are required for this role; work schedule will be flexed accordingly
