You'll have the chance to work closely with a manageable K-4th grade caseload of six students in a blend of push-in and self-contained settings, supported by an engaged staff. This assignment supports your growth as an educator, building your confidence in writing and implementing IEPs and broadening your experience working with related services professionals.

Qualifications:
  • Illinois State Educator License with LBS1 Endorsement (required)
  • At least 2 years of recent teaching experience preferred
  • Ability to write and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Skilled communicator and collaborative team member
Responsibilities:
  • Teach and support K-4th grade special education students
  • Develop, write, and implement IEPs
  • Collaborate with related service staff and general education teachers
  • Utilize a mix of push-in and self-contained instructional strategies
  • Maintain a Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm schedule, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
