Salary: $37,200 – $40,200 (based on experience)
Sign‑On Bonus: $500 upon hire and $500 after 90 days
The Toddler Teacher Assistant partners with the Lead Toddler Teacher to facilitate the education, care, and general development of children in the toddler classroom, following DCFS licensing, NAEYC, and Head Start performance standards.
Responsibilities- Work with the classroom team to develop culturally and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Assist in creating a safe, welcoming learning environment for toddlers and families.
- Promote positive interactions and recognize the achievements of children, families, and staff.
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing classroom activities and lesson plans.
- Help maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and Head Start performance standards.
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Illinois Gateways Infant Toddler Credential Level
3. - Preferred:
Bilingual/bicultural Spanish. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50pounds.
- Successful criminal, child‑abuse, and sex‑offender background checks.
- Member of AFSCME or willing to join within 30days of hire.
- Competitive salary of $37,200 – $40,200 based on experience.
