Comprehensive Learning Services is a dedicated multidisciplinary child therapy center committed to fostering academic, social and emotional development. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Part‑Time Reading Specialist to join our team and make a meaningful impact on our students' reading abilities and overall academic success.

As a Part‑Time Reading Specialist at Comprehensive Learning Services, you will play a crucial role in promoting literacy and helping students develop strong reading and comprehension skills. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments to identify students' reading levels and specific areas of improvement.
• Designing and implementing personalized reading programs tailored to students' needs.
• Providing one‑on‑one or small group reading sessions to help students improve their reading abilities.
• Monitoring and tracking the progress of students through ongoing assessments.
  
  Collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure a comprehensive approach to literacy development.
• Staying up‑to‑date with the latest research and best practices in literacy instruction.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field.
• State teaching certification or licensure in reading or literacy instruction.
• Previous experience in reading instruction, preferably in a school or educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of various reading assessment tools and instructional methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and empathy when working with students.
• A genuine passion for promoting literacy and a love for books.

This is a part‑time position, and the schedule is flexible based on the needs of the students. Reading sessions may occur during school hours, after school, or on weekends, as needed. We are very flexible.

$50.00 per hour
