Salary Range or Pay Grade

$135,00-$165,000;
This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment. Individuals may be eligible for summer salary.

Position Description

The University of Chicago Department of Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The search is open to any area in the field of Statistics, broadly defined.

Qualifications Minimum qualifications

Completion of all requirements for the PhD in statistics or some field of computer science, mathematics, or other areas where statistical concepts or methods play an important role.

Preferred qualifications

At least one year of university-level teaching experience, such as, but not limited to, a TA or instructor of record;
At least two years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher.
