Sheridan County School District 2 is looking for a positive, professional, and motivated After-School Program Paraprofessional to join the Henry

A. Coffeen After-School team!
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday, 2:45pm - 5:15pm. This program is only offered when students are in school (not offered on holidays or school breaks such as Christmas, Spring and Summer Breaks).
STARTING WAGE: $17.97-$20.97 depending on experience ($1.00 increase for BA/BS)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Ability to work well with students and staff.
  • Working knowledge and competence in reading, math, English, and related academic subjects.
  • Typing and computer skills preferred.

REPORTS TO: Building principal and/or classroom teacher

JOB GOAL: To assist the After School Coordinator in supporting students during snack and recess as well as in their designated educational environment.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with individual students or small groups of students.
  • Assists with the supervision of students.
  • Assists with such large group activities.
  • Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information concerning school matters.

* placement beyond step seven (7) requires approval from the Superintendent

Upon board approval, eligible staff move one (1) step on the wage schedule annually, except in those years when the Board of Trustees sets a wage freeze due to budget constraints. Individuals who start in their position after the start of the second semester will not be eligible for a step increase the following school year. EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
