Position Summary
Do you enjoy helping prospective students explore their goals and identify the graduate program that can help them get there? Are you energized by relationship building, problem solving, and working collaboratively to grow enrollment? Roosevelt University, with campuses in downtown Chicago and Schaumburg, is seeking a Graduate Admission Counselor supporting the Heller College of Business. This role will support recruitment and enrollment across the College’s graduate portfolio, including master’s programs, the Executive Doctor of Business Administration, and graduate certificates, while building strong relationships with prospective students, faculty, program directors, and external partners.
This hybrid position is expected to work on the Chicago campus three days per week, with some flexibility based on recruitment and enrollment needs. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Guide prospective graduate business students through the application and enrollment process.
- Meet with prospective students to assess academic eligibility, discuss program offerings and career outcomes, and provide information about the graduate student experience at Roosevelt.
- Attend in-person and virtual events to recruit students.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for post-admission processes.
- Collaborate with academic affairs, Financial Aid Services, Academic Advising, and other support offices to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
The salary range for this position is $52,000-$54,000.

Skills and Abilities
Required
- 2-3 years of experience working in admissions, enrollment, higher education, recruitment, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to manage relationships both externally and within Roosevelt University.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with care and tact.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Ability to engage and motivate prospective students throughout the enrollment process.
- Understands the landscape of higher education recruitment and can identify obstacles, opportunities, and potential solutions.
- Comfortable using data to monitor recruitment activity, identify trends, and inform outreach strategies.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion when working with admission counselors, prospective students and external partners.
