Graduate Assistant CSDI 205 & CSDI - Student Employment

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist faculty with classroom instruction, records, and assignments
• Lead discussion sections, group projects, or guest lectures if available during class
• Meet with students during TA Student Support Hours/Review Sessions (approximately 1 hour per week)
• Confer with students individually or in small groups
• Record audio samples for class use
• Assist with grading transcriptions using provided answer keys
• Track student submissions on Canvas and report to faculty
• Prepare in-class activity materials and course materials
• Record and calculate grades, provide feedback on assignments
• Enforce laboratory rules and procedures
• Proctor examinations and take attendance or monitor participation
• Order course textbooks and monitor supplies
• Meet with faculty weekly
• Complete administrative tasks such as photocopying and printing
• Identify evidence-based resources to support course content
• Communicate student concerns and needs with faculty

• Federal Work-Study eligible
• Strong attention to detail
• Foundational knowledge in speech and language development
• Ability to support foundational undergraduate coursework in phonetics and language development
