The University of Chicago Department of Statistics invites applications for the position of William H. Kruskal Instructor. We seek recent or expected Ph.D. graduates doing advanced research with a connection to applied mathematics, computational mathematics, or machine learning.
The appointment is for a term of up to three years. The University of Chicago has the highest standards for scholarship and academic quality, is dedicated to fundamental research, and has an inherently inter-disciplinary structure that is very supportive of newly emerging research opportunities.
Kruskal Instructor responsibilities include engagement in independent research and teaching up to three quarter-long courses per year.

Qualifications- Completion of all requirements for the Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field by the time of hire.
