Will be based on the candidate's highest degree level and per credit hours of supervision per semester: $1,400 per credit with a doctoral degree and $1,200 per credit with a master's degree.

The supervisor of student teachers/clinical students provides a critical role in supporting high quality teacher preparation. Through on-campus seminars and school site visits, the supervisor provides mentorship, guidance, and instruction to pre-service teachers. The supervisor also serves as a liaison between the Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education and the personnel of cooperating schools and agencies. The department will call the applicant when a supervisor is needed in your area of concentration.

The Department of Health, Physical Education, Educational Foundations, and Urban Community Studies offers a licensure program in Physical Education.

The Literacy, Leadership, Development & Special Education Department offers licensure programs in LBS I and LBS II

The Teacher Education Department offers licensure programs in Bilingual Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education Secondary Education (English, History, Mathematics, and Science) and PK-12 programs consisting of Art Education, Music Education and Spanish Education.

The position requires the university supervisor to attend training sessions at the start of the semester; attend program meetings and workshops to support candidates conduct multiple observations of candidate teaching in the field; meet and communicate regularly with candidate’s mentor teacher; promote a positive relationship with the mentor teacher, school principal, school counselor; provide support and feedback to the candidate throughout the semester;

assist program faculty in problem-solving during the field experience/internship; keep candidates informed about any licensure changes; and complete formal assessments of the candidate at the midterm and/or conclusion of the semester. There is also a weekly seminar component.

• Must have an earned master’s degree in the discipline (e.g., Bilingual Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Secondary Education, Special Education)
• Minimum of three years teaching experience
• Personal and professional commitment to inclusive education, diversity, advocacy, and social justice
• Hold a teaching license preferred

• Familiarity with online and virtual instruction
