Hourly (competitive, based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Solar Service Technician to support service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential solar PV systems. This role is part-time and hourly (W-2), ideal for an experienced technician looking for flexible, ongoing field work.

• Perform solar site surveys for existing and new systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose solar PV system issues (AC/DC, communications, production loss)
• Service, repair, and replace inverters
  , including Tesla Energy equipment
• Commission and recommission solar and battery systems
• Interpret electrical diagrams, plans, and single-line drawings
• Use monitoring platforms to identify system faults
• Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and safety standards
• Clearly communicate findings and repair needs
• Accurately document service work and system conditions

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in solar service, O&M, or installation
• Experience with Tesla inverters and Tesla Energy products (Powerwall experience a plus)
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (AC & DC)
• Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and lifts
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• NABCEP PV Installation or PV Service Certification
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Electrical license or equivalent field experience

• Part-time, hourly (W-2 employee)
• Flexible scheduling based on service demand

• Mileage reimbursement or company vehicle (if applicable)
