Salary Range (commensurate with experience): $66.58 – $66.58 per hour

- Supervise plant operating engineers and other assigned personnel, including timecard approval.
- Selects and requisitions replacement parts for equipment.
- Assists and trains in the proper operation of power plant electrical generating equipment; refrigeration equipment, pumps, compressors and other building mechanical equipment.
- Determines work required by other trades and sets up necessary work orders.
- Operates energy management systems, reads and checks gauges, meters and thermometers.
- Assists in formulating and carrying out a preventive maintenance program.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four (4) years (48 months) of work experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
- One (1) year (12 months) of work experience in a position comparable to the Steam and Power Plant III.
- Possession of the current/valid Stationary Engineer’s License and a Universal Card.
Illinois Residency is required within 180 days of employment.
