• Supporting E911/TDOA activities
• Supporting the GSM/UMTS modernization deployment activities by ensuring minimal impact on the existing network during the process.
• Preparing and loading TDOA (SCOUT/GCS) configurations.
• Supporting E911 Regional war room.
• Performing daily/weekly end to end E911 audits (SCOUT, BSC, RNC, GMLC, MSS & SAS)
• Monitoring site performance and troubleshooting issues with the field teams.

• Engineer must be a contributor and subject matter expert, with good understanding of location networks as well as GSM networks, RF theory and telecommunication systems.
• Must have the ability to interface with cross-functional team members to gain the support required to accomplish their assignments.

Minimum Required Skills /

Competencies:

• Prior experience on TDOA - SCOUT and or GCS configuration management is a must.
• System level knowledge of Location technology and E911 or location based services.
• In depth knowledge & understanding of E911 Phase 1 and Phase 2 or location based services call processing.
• Experience with Nokia, Nortel and/or Ericsson BSS equipment. Experience with more than one vendor is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills. UNIX, Oracle DB, Excel macros and SQL programming a plus.
• Moderate Map Info skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.

2+ years experience in U-TDOA positioning technology.
At least 1yr of prior Trueposition SCOUT configuration experience.
