** STV is seeking a Senior Highway Design Task Lead to join our dynamic Chicago Transportation Group. You will lead major projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical expert in a collaborative, flexible environment.
**** What You'll Do at STV:
*** Lead and produce high-quality highway/roadway design plans that meet client expectations and adhere to budgets and schedules
* Serve as the go-to technical resource for internal staff and provide guidance on design standards and best practices
* Collaborate with external design disciplines to ensure seamless project integration
* Oversee technical execution and maintain accountability across multiple projects
* Assist project managers with planning, budgeting, and client coordination
* Supervise and mentor engineers, CAD staff, and junior team members
* Manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
* Stay current with IDOT/Tollway guidelines and evolving design procedures
** What We are seeking in our candidates:
*** BS in Civil Engineering
* PE in Illinois
* 10+ years in highway design;
Familiar with IDOT/Tollway standards
* Proficiency in Micro Station, Geopak, InRoads, or Open Roads Designer
