We are seeking a Buyer IV to lead the procurement of highly complex mechanical parts, assemblies, and services in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost, quality, and delivery excellence, while partnering closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Suppliers. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, advanced sourcing expertise, and the ability to mentor junior purchasers while driving continuous supplier improvement.
- Lead purchasing activities for complex mechanical components, assemblies, and services
- Ensure alignment with MRP‑driven demand
, cost targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules - Build, maintain, and expand a robust supplier network
- Resolve supplier non‑conformities and drive corrective actions
- Identify and qualify new sourcing opportunities
- Partner closely with Engineering and Operations to evaluate alternative components, materials, or suppliers
- Support cost‑reduction and risk‑mitigation initiatives
- Interpret advanced 2D/3D blueprints, CAD drawings, and specifications
- Ensure technical accuracy in sourcing decisions and supplier selections
- Act as a technical advisor and mentor to junior‑ and mid‑level purchasers
- Share best practices in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
âś… Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced 2D/3D drawing and blueprint interpretation
✅ Expert‑level sourcing, negotiation, and supplier evaluation skills
✅ Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and data‑driven purchasing analysis
✅ Ability to resolve technical supplier issues and non‑conformities
✅ Experience managing high‑complexity procurement projects

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 7–10+ years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience in manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience sourcing engineered components, complex assemblies, and custom parts
- Strong background in MRP/ERP systems and supplier performance management
- Hands‑on collaboration with engineering teams on technical sourcing decisions
