Job Title: Validation Engineer

About the Opportunity: Perform validation activities both in-house and at customer locations. Validation support will include both verbal and written assistance to customers, the technical support team, and sales associates.

This is a fully on-site position reporting to the Wood Dale, IL facility, with an expectation to be on-site 5 days per week. The role includes up to 50% travel to customer locations across the continental United States.

Responsibilities
  • Validation (Primary Function – Equipment Qualification).
  • Perform on-site validation (Installation, Operational, Performance Qualifications) and calibration execution at customer locations throughout North America.
  • Perform in-house validation (Factory Acceptance Testing) and calibration execution.
  • Assist with developing, writing and revising validation protocols and calibration procedures.
  • Assist in keeping validation equipment organized, functional and compliant.
  • Assist in quoting validation services and documents.
  • Work in conjunction with our technical support department to provide validation and calibration support to our customers.
  • Provide support on customer generated testing protocols.
  • Assist in keeping team members up to date with the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform various project activities to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Encourage activities that grow and enhance the validation business.
  • Perform duties as assigned.
  • Technical Support (secondary function).
  • Provide telephone technical support to customers as needed on product operation, maintenance and repair of biomedical products.
Qualifications
  • Up to 50% travel required (North America).
  • Trained in Calibration, Validation or GLP/GMP procedures.
  • Must have good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Problem solving and collaboration skills a must.
  • Training or experience with Validator/Mapping systems a plus.
  • Background in electrical and/or electronic troubleshooting procedures a plus.
  • Strong drive to achieve customer satisfaction.
Working conditions
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Must continuously comply with company policies and procedures.
Physical requirements
  • Occasional lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders required.
  • Extensive writing as part of validation protocol execution required.
  • Occasional extended periods of time standing and/or walking required.

The hiring range for this position is: $60,000 - $80,000
, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
