Position OverviewOur Design Studio team, in our Chicago office, is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer
. This role will support our engineering team in staying focused on our mission of delivering high quality projects.

Most duties will be performed in an office environment. dbHMS currently operates with both hybrid and remote-only work policies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, and frequently is required to walk. The work typically requires the use of hands to type, handle or feel;
reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The typical week consists of five, eight-hour shifts. Occasional overnight travel may be required to our other locations.

- Operate BIM Software.
- Read and understand construction documents, floor plans and equipment details.
- Operate computer software such as Microsoft Office programs to perform engineering tasks.
- Assist in the design of electrical systems under supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
- Perform load calculations under the supervision of a senior engineer.
- Minimum Education:
B.S. degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering. - Basic engineering or construction background.
Preferred Qualifications
- E.I.T.
- Completion of an Internship in an MEP Consulting firm.
- Revit Knowledge.
- Ability to multi-task by working on multiple overlapping projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain professional, polite and prompt communication.
- Motivated self-starter and fast learner committed to learning on the job and personal self-development.
