As an ECU White Box & Stress Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in validating advanced automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) such as High-Performance Computers (HPC) and Zonal Controllers. This position involves deep hardware-level testing, embedded debugging, and stress analysis to ensure reliability and compliance with automotive standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, wiring harnesses, and load boxes, while leveraging your expertise in electronic circuits, automotive communication protocols, and wireless technologies.

- Perform white box testing on automotive ECUs, including HPC and Zonal Computers.
- Debug embedded code and conduct register-level diagnostics for SOCs/MCUs.
- Design and troubleshoot HIL systems using platforms like dSPACE and ETAS.
- Develop and validate wiring harnesses and load boxes for HIL setups.
- Utilize tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers for hardware testing.
- Execute stress tests and analyze data to establish pass/fail criteria.
- Work with automotive network protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools (CANoe, VT Studio).
- Validate wireless communication technologies (NFC, UWB, Wi-Fi) used in automotive systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive EE hardware white box testing.
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit board schematics and semiconductor datasheets.
- Proficiency in embedded code debugging and register-level diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with HIL systems (dSPACE, ETAS) and related electrical design.
- Expertise in automotive communication protocols and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with wireless technologies used in automotive applications.
- Experience in statistical analysis for stress testing and reliability validation.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $54,300 - $119,490/Year.
