This role is for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys hands‑on design work and wants to be part of projects that directly impact how communities receive reliable power. You’ll be working on overhead and underground distribution systems, supporting utility clients across a wide range of project types.
The WorkYou’ll be involved in the full design lifecycle of electrical distribution projects. That includes developing drawings, calculations, and specifications, gathering field data, and ensuring all designs meet client, regulatory, and industry standards. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers, project managers, and cross‑disciplinary teams while gradually building direct client exposure.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Designing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
- Producing drawings, field notes, specifications, and engineering calculations
- Performing field walkdowns to capture existing conditions
- Applying utility standards, codes, and best practices to all designs
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure constructability and compliance
- Supporting project delivery from concept through completion
This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys technical problem‑solving but also values collaboration and communication.
You’ll bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (power emphasis preferred)
- EIT certification or progress toward professional licensure
- Around 3–5 years of experience in electrical distribution design
- Strong knowledge of three‑phase power systems
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or Micro Station
- Confidence working with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation
- Clear communication skills and an organized, detail‑oriented approach
