Position: Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Plant Design (Consulting Engineering)

Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer looking to take on complex, meaningful design work that drives the future of power generation? Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep experience in combined cycle power plants to join our consulting engineering practice.

What You’ll Do

As a key technical leader, you will:

  • Lead and develop electrical designs for combined cycle and simple cycle power plants
    , including new generation and modernization projects.
  • Produce and review deliverables such as one-lines, protection schemes, equipment specifications, grounding/lighting design, cable sizing, load studies, and construction packages.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate across disciplines (I&C, mechanical, civil/structural) to ensure integrated, high‑quality engineering solutions.
  • Support clients throughout the project lifecycle—including feasibility studies, FEED, detailed design, procurement, and commissioning.
  • Interface directly with utility and plant stakeholders on technical issues, permitting requirements, and project milestones.
What We’re Looking For
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. a plus).
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in power plant environments, with clear expertise in combined cycle facilities
    .
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Medium‑and low‑voltage distribution
    • Protective relaying & coordination
    • Generator interconnection requirements
    • NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and utility standards
  • Experience working in a consulting or EPC engineering environment
    .
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
