The Onsite Support Engineer will be responsible for leading the installation and configuration of CCTV/IP video surveillance hardware and software. This role will support the customer on the customer’s site with the work necessary to configure and tune IP networks for proper video transfer. This role involves hands‑on installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of CCTV and video security systems, ensuring reliable protection and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Our customer has an installation of 9,000 video surveillance cameras.
- Verify the design of the systems architecture and the configuration of the system federation (system gateways, stream gateways, foreign devices, etc.)
- Managing the configurations of system maps (map servers, GIS maps, plane maps, map objects, map tiles generation)
- Collaborate with customer’s management and staff to define, plan, and configure system access rights including profiles, user groups and missions.
- Oversee, configure and test integration with third party systems (SCADA, video analytics, video & audio recording systems, etc.)
- Collaborate with product management and R & D Qualifications.
- 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in video surveillance, security systems engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of IP Networks, Cisco CCNA preferred.
- Experience working with servers, workstations, databases, postscript SQL and coding protocols for video over network.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and client interaction abilities.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Effective problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
Compensation range is $80,000 to $90,000 Base salary + annual company bonus plan targeted at 1 month base salary. Overtime is paid by for special event coverage. A cell phone stipend is paid each pay period. Teleste offers comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, vacation and sick time.
