RF Specialist

Auriais seeking a mobile range flight/radio frequency (MRF/RF) specialist to support the engineering, development, integration and sustainment of numerous state-of-the-art satellite ground systems. The MRF/RF Specialist provide support at the range flight facility and will support the Space Systems Command’s Innovation and Prototyping Directorate to develop, deploy, modernize, operate, and expand the program and its customers. Primary work location is Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM.

Some travel may be required, approximately 10%.

The successful candidate will have expertise in antennas and RF deployment and support, and hardware integration onto platforms. The candidate will have a solid foundation in antenna engineering with an in-depth understanding of antenna theory, antenna requirement evaluation and simulation, fabrication best practices/processes as well as antenna test and verification. The selected candidate will also have basic knowledge of Signal flow, Cable building, Windows OS, Linux OS, Troubleshooting system hardware, Routers and switches, and Fiber optics.

• Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility within 3 months of start and able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
• Level 4 requires minimum 9 years of relevant work experience with degree, or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience working with antennas
• Knowledge of the requirements in observing proper safety restrictions when working around High Voltage and High Power RF transmitters
• Experience with satellite ground systems
• Experience installing and configuring antenna infrastructure
• Experience with antenna range testing, including Far-Field and Near-Field
• Experience in using test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and power sensors)
• Experience in sweeping Cables and LNAs for measuring frequency response and attenuation
• Ability to travel, approximately 10%.
• May be required to perform job duties from an aerial boom lift when on-site working on an antenna.

The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $90,000- $124,000.
