** Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. In this role you will participate in environmental projects that involve field investigations, environmental sampling of various media (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment), subcontractor oversight, report preparation, task management, and working as a team with coworkers.
** Your Impact*
* + Subsurface site investigations involving drilling, soil classification, well installation, and rock coring and logging;
+ Soil, groundwater, surface water, and air sampling;
+ Investigation-derived data tabulation and evaluation; and report writing.
+ This position will involve a mix of office and field work.
+ Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
+ Complete training on assigned tasks.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

** Who You Are*
* ** Required Qualifications*
* + B.S. in Geology, or closely related discipline.
+ 0 to 1 years of experience working as a Geologist in the environmental field.
+ Qualified candidates will have project and client management experience in subsurface site characterization, analytical data evaluation, remediation planning, environmental regulations, writing reports and small proposals, and performance of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
+ Excellent verbal and strong writing and organizational skills combined with leadership ability, a positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and within groups.
+ Ability to routinely write letters and regulatory reports with some assistance from senior professionals.
+ Ability to independently tabulate, evaluate, and draw conclusions from assessment data generated from field investigations and Phase I environmental site assessments.
+ Strong computer skills including use of Word and Excel to create letters, reports and tables.
+ 40 Hour OSHA health and safety training.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.
+ Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
+ Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation and communication software, technology, and tools.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
+ Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $50,400 -$75,600
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
