Senior Project Architect/Project Manager

The Challenge

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect/Project Manager to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia, Chicago, Illinois, or Atlanta, GA.

Principal Areas Of Responsibility
  • Develop presentation documents utilizing design training and participate in design presentations to Clients.
  • Develop design concepts through construction documents.
  • Prepare contract drawings.
  • Coordinate with the project team of architects and engineers.
  • Meet independently with vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into the documents.
  • Perform code reviews and meet independently with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
  • Review contractor requests during the bid phase and develop and coordinate the distribution of addenda to the Contractors.
  • Conduct field visits during the construction phase to monitor and review the progress of the construction and complete field reports.
  • Travel onsite to project fields for client meetings and site inspections and visits (~25% of time).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited university.
  • 12+ years of experience as a Project Architect with a U.S. Registered Architecture (RA) license.
  • Detailed knowledge of architectural/engineering practice with an emphasis on design, design development, preparation of construction documents, specifications, building materials, construction costs, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and currently performing production work.
  • Multi‑story building design experience.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Experience with federal government facilities is highly desirable.
Salary Base

This full‑time position as a Senior Project Architect/Project Manager, level V has an annual base range of $120,000–$150,000. The position is eligible for overtime in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. The actual hourly rate is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

This may differ in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
