STV is seeking a Bridge Engineer, Inspector with a dual focus on Structural Design and Inspection Team Leadership. This role is designed for a structural expert who can support the design of complex new structures under AASHTO LRFD and AREMA specifications, while also serving as a certified Team Leader for NBIS bridge inspections.
Qualifications- Education: B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience: 8-15 years of progressive experience in bridge design and inspection.
- Licensure: Illinois Professional Engineer, P.E. required
- Certifications:
- Completion of NHI Course 130055, Safety Inspection of In‑Service Bridges
- Current IDOT‑Qualified Bridge Inspection Team Leader status.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven track record designing new bridges according to AASHTO and AREMA standards.
- High proficiency in AASHTOWare BrR, LARSA 4D, and Micro Station, Open Bridge.
- Technical Design: Support or lead the design and analysis for new highway, pedestrian, and railway bridges. Ensure all designs comply with AASHTO LRFD and AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering.
- Inspection Team Leadership: Serve as the Team Leader for NBIS bridge safety inspections. Direct field operations, manage safety protocols, and mentor junior engineers during site visits.
