Position Overview
Jacobs is seeking a motivated Structure/Bridge Project Manager to join our Transportation Project Management Group in Chicago. The role focuses on delivering solutions for highway infrastructure projects, ensuring project delivery quality, client service, fee development, contract management, invoicing, and profitability.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will oversee project delivery, directing and coordinating activities to meet goals within timelines and budgets. You will establish fee estimates, coordinate multidisciplinary staffing, manage subconsultants, and provide staff development. You will also maintain relationships with current and past clients, assist in business development, research future opportunities, initiate and review proposals, and participate in interviews and presentations.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation design
- Substantial experience in bridge design
- Previous experience serving as a project manager on infrastructure projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in IL and preferably MN
- Registered Structural Engineer (SE) in IL
- Established local client relationships and experience with Chicago DOT, CTA and/or IDOT
- Demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, including analysis, design and plan development for new and rehabilitation projects
- Solid understanding and practical experience applying AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures
- Working knowledge of CAD systems – Micro Station and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality control practices throughout all phases of design and plan production
- Active engagement in professional organizations
- Ability to travel locally on occasion for project related tasks and meetings
- Advanced degree in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrated experience on Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects
Base salary range: $155,000 to $175,000.
