Job Summary
Our client is searching for Central Office Telecommunications Technicians to decommission various locations. These locations could require travel for several months at a time depending on the site, which could be in different states throughout the country.
This project could last several years.
Candidates must submit to a drug, background, and DMV test.
All candidates must have several years of experience working in central offices and hands‑on experience providing telecommunications support.
Duties- Equipment Power Down & Decommissioning
- DC Power Systems Expertise (Required)
- Cable Mining & Removal
- Equipment Removal
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ability to log into telecommunications equipment like DWDM, SONET, routers, switches, and MUXes.
- Fiber optics experience (running jumpers, clean fiber).
- Experience with test equipment (OTDRs, test sets...).
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
