We’re supporting a leading global medical device company in the search for a Technical Leader – Design Engineering to join a fast-paced R&D innovation team focused on next-generation drug delivery device development
.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced mechanical design professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration
.
- Lead and mentor design engineering teams
- Support product development from concept through prototyping & testing
- Collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, and project teams
- Guide rapid prototyping /
3D printing iterations - Participate in technical reviews and client-facing discussions
- 7–10+ years in mechanical design / product development
- Experience in medical devices or highly regulated industries
- Background with plastic components / plastics processing preferred
- Exposure to assembly line / manufacturing environments
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills
- Available to work 100% on‑site in the Chicago area
