Human Factors - Intern

With sales of €500m and 2,800 employees worldwide, Nemera is one of the leading global manufacturers of complex drug delivery systems for the pharmaceutical industry, offering to patients a broad product portfolio that includes inhalation devices, injection devices, nasal and dermal pumps, and ophthalmic delivery devices. Nemera develops and manufactures its own IP product platforms but also offers fully custom developments and contract manufacturing.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and critical-thinking Human Factors Intern to join our innovative team in Chicago, IL. As a Human Factors Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of human factors principles and methodologies to real-world projects, while learning tangible skills from experienced Human Factors professionals on the team.

• Assist in planning and conducting usability studies
• Analyze and interpret data collected from usability studies
• Support the creation of research reports and presentations
• Contribute to the development of user interface designs and prototypes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human factors principles into product development processes

Some domestic travel (approximately 20%) will be required for supporting usability study activities.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Currently a Junior or Senior (graduating 2027 or 2028)
• Strong knowledge of human factors principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with user-centered design processes and basic understanding of ergonomics
• Excellent research and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Interest in human factors and product design for drug delivery/combination products
• Relevant coursework or project experience is preferred

$20.00 - $24.00 USD hourly
