Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are seeking a VDC / BIM Coordinator with deep experience supporting large, complex semiconductor facility design projects. This role is embedded within our Digital Delivery team and is responsible for leading model-based coordination efforts during design, with a strong emphasis on facilitating clash detection workflows and running structured coordination meetings across multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of engineering design processes, high-density MEP systems, and the ability to guide teams toward coordinated, constructible design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead design-phase clash detection and coordination workflows across multi-discipline engineering models (process, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural).
* Plan, facilitate, and run recurring coordination meetings with internal engineering teams, external consultants, clients, and trade partners.
* Aggregate and manage federated models, ensuring alignment with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and client standards.
* Identify clashes, design conflicts, and spatial constraints early in the design process, and drive resolution through collaboration with discipline leads.
* Track coordination issues, assign accountability, and monitor resolution progress to maintain design schedules.
* Develop and maintain coordination logs, dashboards, and reporting metrics for project leadership and clients.
* Support model-based design reviews, including constructability, operability, and maintainability considerations.
* Contribute to the development and enforcement of company BIM/VDC standards, workflows, and QA/QC procedures.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on BIM best practices and coordination processes.
Key Competencies
* Strong facilitation and coordination leadership within design environments
* Ability to balance design intent with spatial and systems coordination
* Proactive issue identification and resolution mindset
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and tracking capabilities
Why Join Us
* Be part of designing next-generation semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering experts on highly technical projects
* Influence Digital Delivery and BIM innovation within a leading design environment
* Competitive compensation, benefits, and professional growth opportunities
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of BIM/VDC experience within a design or engineering firm environment.
* Demonstrated experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing facility design, or similar.
* Advanced proficiency with:
* Autodesk Revit (multi-discipline model navigation and coordination)
* Navisworks Manage (clash detection, viewpoints, and reporting)
* Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 (model management and collaboration)
* Proven experience leading coordination meetings and facilitating cross-disciplinary collaboration.
* Strong understanding of complex building systems, particularly HVAC, process piping, and electrical distribution in high-tech environments.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into clear design actions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working directly with semiconductor clients or tool vendors.
* Exposure to model-based design reviews, digital twins, or asset data integration.
* Experience with interoperability workflows (e.g., IFC, data exchanges between platforms).
* Knowledge of reality capture integration (laser scanning) within design validation.
* Professional licensure or BIM-related certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
