Principal Bridge Engineer

TYLin is looking for a Principal Bridge Engineer to support global projects. The ideal candidate can be located near any of our major offices such as San Francisco, New York, Chicago, etc.

• Industry expert recognized both within and outside the organization as a master in a professional discipline.
• Implements strategic goals established by functional leadership
• Establishes operational plans for own job area with short-to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years)
• Provides measurable input into new processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results
• Identify and pursue strategic opportunities with leadership and provides guidance on project acceptance / rejection
• Develops and delivers in-house training, contributes to the development of technical standards and criteria for the entire organization
• Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with clients, agencies or sub-contractors

• Experience and knowledge of all typologies of cast-in-place and precast segmental bridges.
• Deep foundations experience, scour, ship impact.
• Precast yard experience.
• R.E. of construction of cable-stay/extradosed bridges and segmental construction + Arch bridges.
• Preliminary Design experience of Cable-stay and extradosed, and various typologies of Arch bridges.
• Geometry Control experience.
• Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with 15 years of experience.
