Title: Electrical Engineering Manager - R&D
Location: St Joesph, Michigan (on-site)
Salary: $150,000 - $185,000 + relocation/sign on bonus
Requirements: PCB, PWB, and PWA design

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering leader to drive innovation in electronic system development and guide the long term direction of our engineering organization. In this role, you'll mentor a talented team, collaborate across functions, and contribute to the creation of industry leading scientific instrumentation.
What You Will Be Doing
We're seeking an Electronics Research and Engineering Manager to lead electronic system development and guide the Electrical Engineering team. You'll partner with product and functional leaders to manage resources, support multiple projects, and uphold engineering excellence. The role includes mentoring 8-12 engineers and ensuring strong technical quality across all work.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve technical and organizational challenges
- Allocate resources across multiple projects
- Manage hiring, reviews, and personnel decisions
- Support strategic R&D and special studies
- Maintain job descriptions and procedures
- Define product plans, technical strategy, and long term direction
- Run team meetings and performance check ins
- Ensure project quality and timely delivery
- Provide training and support team development
- Foster cross department collaboration
- Uphold company policies and quality standards
- Offer technical support to other teams
- B.S. or Masters in Electrical Engineering;
Motor control and HMI design - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product development environment
- Excellent system level design capability with cross functional awareness in mechanical, firmware, and software
- Mixed signal design and measurement systems
- Microcontroller, digital, and analog design
- Closed loop temperature control systems
- AC design for single phase and three phase systems
- High voltage design
- System level architecture
- PCB, PWB, and PWA design
- Wire harness design
- Strong communication, coordination, and facilitation skills
- Ability to adapt leadership style to diverse personalities and team needs
