Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $124960 - $165572. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.

This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Engineering? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Advanced Manufacturing group. As a Staff Engineer - Robotic Welding Systems, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

Staff Engineer - Robotic Welding Systems is responsible for leading the planning, deployment, and continuous improvement of robotic welding systems used in production. This role drives automation strategies, system design, equipment integration, programming, and team development to ensure high-quality, high-throughput welding processes. The role serves as a technical expert driving innovation and reliability in robotic welding across assembly lines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the engineering, programming, and integration of robotic welding systems across multiple manufacturing lines.

* Lead the specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new robotic welding cells and automation equipment.

* Collaborate with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure optimal weld joint design and system compatibility.

* Support continuous improvement efforts through weld optimization, cycle time reduction, and automation upgrades.

* Stay updated on advancements in robotic welding, vision systems, sensors, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

* Provide technical training and mentorship to engineers, weld technicians, and operators.

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or relevant experience.

* Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering degree with equivalent experience

* Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Lean Six Sigma certification

* Proven record of leading projects with challenging scope, schedule and cost targets from concept through validation and sustainment.
