Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I CE Energy Marshall, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, One Drive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Oversees and assures the overall compliance of Microsoft's Energy Isolation Program and establish acceptance criteria for authorizing campus Energy Isolation Plan.
* Implements learnings, provides consistency, and drives rigor into Microsoft's Energy Isolation program and ensures program meets or exceeds company safety policy requirements.
* Utilise local code and standards as the foundation for Microsoft's Energy Isolation program that is implemented throughout the campus.
* Establish with the Engineering team a centralized Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with all campus entities and determine if a group or individual LOTO procedure will be required.
* Commencement of energy isolation activities with updates on a continuous basis.
* Liaise with Microsoft construction team where Energy Isolation activities may potentially impact data center core operations.
* Act in coordination with the Engineering team as a subject matter expert in all energy isolation incident investigations in area of responsibility
* Participate in high-risk activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with energy isolation.
* Ensures high-risk SOWs, SOPs and MOPs are reviewed, and all sources of energy are identified.
* Ensure a process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for personnel performing the work.
* Generate monthly reports highlighting activities and general status of energy isolation program
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience
* OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
* OR equivalent experience
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
* Citizenship Verification:
This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
