Who You Are- 5 to 10 years of mechanical experience, bachelor’s degree in engineering; A PE license is required.
- Advanced knowledge of ASHRAE standards and building codes for ventilation, humidity control, load calculations, and duct sizing techniques; key performance parameters for air handlers, pumps, chillers, temperature controls, ductwork accessories, heat exchangers and tanks, sustainable design; knowledge of architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection considerations.
- Proficiency with relevant business and engineering applications:
Microsoft Office and Project, Google Docs, CAD methods and procedures, HVAC calculation software tools. - People person: ability to work independently or in a team, positive attitude, enjoy developing relationships, able to delegate, mentor, and lead as required, exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Design mechanical HVAC systems for new and existing buildings, including renewable and sustainable technologies; prepare calculations, drawings, specifications; perform condition assessments; assist with construction cost estimates; prepare punch lists; review shop drawings and resolve RFIs.
- Help manage projects: develop the work plan and conceptual designs; oversee budget, schedule, scope while ensuring adherence to Primera’s quality improvement and review processes.
