Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Building Commissioning Engineer (M.E./E.E.) - Hybrid

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer with over 5 years of experience in commissioning and retro-commissioning new and existing facilities. The candidate should be comfortable meeting with clients and contractors, possess strong technical skills, and be able to perform equipment performance testing.

We are an engineering consulting firm specializing in energy efficiency and sustainable building solutions. Our services include energy audits, feasibility studies, design concept development, commissioning, measurement and verification (M&V), and monitoring of building performance and systems. We serve commercial, institutional, government, educational, and industrial sectors in the U.S. and internationally.

Projects include mid-size to large commercial projects such as new buildings and existing facility upgrades. Experience in BAS/BMS/control systems testing and integration is an advantage.

• Lead and execute commissioning projects from beginning to close-out.
• Lead and execute condition assessments and energy audits for existing facilities.
• Support the development of innovative energy concepts for new and existing buildings.
• Provide project management and coordination on small and medium-sized projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project team members.
• Produce summary reports and presentations and deliver them to clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and other relevant parties.
• Support business development activities including networking at industry events, developing and maintaining client relationships, and preparing proposals.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years of commissioning or energy-related experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical/HVAC systems, BAS, and controls systems.
• Leadership and project execution skills.
• Certifications such as EIT, PE, CEM, CCP, CPMP, BEAP, LEED AP are highly preferred but not required.
