- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience emphasizing transportation engineering
- EIT Registration required, or 6+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience accepted in lieu
- Experience preparing roadway or traffic construction plans/studies required
- Demonstrated ability to direct tasks and perform QA/QC on projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Valid state driver's license or reliable transportation for office/site visits
- Proficient in engineering software such as Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D
- Knowledge of DOT standards, permitting, and ADA requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Previous experience with urban and rural highway/intersection design
- Familiarity with Blue Beam, Auto Turn, GuideSIGN
- Knowledge of environmental factors in roadway design, including stormwater and drainage
- Experience engaging with clients, agencies, and public meetings
- Background in sustainable transportation and multi-modal planning
- Develop detailed roadway designs and engineering plans for transportation projects
- Lead technical quality control, project documentation, and task direction for designers and EITs
- Conduct data analysis, mapping, field reviews, and research to inform design decisions
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and agencies
- Prepare technical presentations, meeting materials, and reports for various stakeholders
- Integrate innovative, sustainable solutions and environmental considerations into project planning
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development activities
